Our community vision states that we have come together to cultivate and nourish a diverse, community-driven foodshed that honors the sacred sun, soil & water by growing a vibrant farm-village and inspiring the propagation of symbiotic, sustainable living solutions.

Our 10 acres in El Sobrante, California will serve as a local foodshed by providing organic fruits and vegetables to the region, raise healthy families, and help others replicate this work through educational programs and strategic support. One acre will serve as the site for a rental-based EcoVillage community of approximately 20 community members and a community education center. These beautiful green homes will demonstrate the most energy-efficient, non-toxic, natural building practices while generating the revenue needed to pay off construction and development loans.

Three acres will be restored with native species and preserved as a wilderness refuge to honor and nourish the freshwater spring and creek that runs through this special piece of land.

Five acres supports an extraordinarily diverse permaculture farm, with over 2,500 fruit trees and an abundant understory of edible plants, berries, flowers, and herbs. If you are interested in supporting or investing in this innovative and ambitious model for true sustainability, feel free to contact us by email at farm[at]wildandradish[dot]com Our mission states that the land and its community will serve as a local foodshed by providing organic fruits, vegetables and animal products to the region. We will build a self-governing cooperative housing community to raise families & share resources. The buildings themselves will demonstrate the most energy efficient, non-toxic, natural building practices. We will restore native species, revitalize waterways and provide refuge for wilderness. There will be a diverse, polyculture permaculture farm with fruit trees & abundant understoriy of edible & medicinal plants, berries, flowers and herbs, integrated with animals to provide ecological balance. Our growing practices will regenerate the local watershed and we will harvest rainwater to engender self-reliance. We will support a local, artisanal economy to harvest & alchemize the abundance of the land and its people. By propagating and preserving locally habituated & heirloom crops, we will serve as a refuge for species diversity. It will be a place to help others replicate this work through educational programs and strategic support. Innovation and modeling true sustainability will be an ongoing intention of community action.
