In 2013, Wild & Radish began leasing nearly 5 acres of south-facing hillside to the non-profit Planting Justice for $1 per year! Progress is well underway with more than 700 trees now in the ground. We invite you to connect with this project through photos or by volunteering through http://www.plantingjustice.org/farm
We are also working in collaboration with Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture (MESA), another inspiring Bay Area non-profit. MESA is cultivating a half-acre of space within the farm for the production of indigenous food crops. Utilizing hand polinating for genetic controls, the MESA team is preserving seed lines and saving seeds each year from what they grow.
Other less formal partnerships include:
Friends of Garrity Creek
Richmond Garden Club
Richmond Arts Center
El Sobrante Historical Society
We are always open to forging partnerships with local organizations working towards a strong community.
